Estonian labour market needs everyone\u2019s contribution and talents, regardless of any specific needs or disabilities. At the STAR Fond, we believe that people with special needs deserve far better opportunities to participate in the workforce. That is why we intend to support companies that plan to create a supportive work environment for people with special needs as they expand their teams. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

State subsidies: <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Since the Estonian state wants to keep employment level high, a system has been created that makes hiring a person with special needs economically advantageous and secure for the employer. Through the Unemployment Insurance Fund, the employer receives direct financial and practical support: <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022 Social tax reimbursement: In certain cases, the state pays the minimum social tax rate for the employee, which reduces the company's labour costs. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022 Workplace adaptation support: If an employee needs special software, access or ergonomic furniture, the state reimburses these costs up to 100%. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022 Support person at the workplace: The state pays a fee for a colleague or external specialist who helps the new employee settle in and learn the tasks. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
